SUMMARY

Under general direction, manages the activities of the Information Technology division; performs specialized information technology work in the development, implementation, and support of City Information Technology systems; and performs related work as required. Must have a positive law enforcement background check.

The City of Berkeley is accepting applications for the position of IT Network Manager in the City’s Administration Department

Work schedule may vary widely depending upon City’s IT needs with additional hours outside the normal work schedule. Regular days off will normally include Sundays and holidays as approved by the City of Berkeley.  Applicant shall possess computer operating systems, applications, software, programming languages, and procedures including specific equipment currently in use by the City. Systems analysis and development, wide area network (WAN) and local area network (LAN), project management, program planning, and computer programming, web design and webmaster is required. Knowledge of budget preparation, budget estimation and tracking, and attend budget meetings. Have working knowledge of Missouri Highway Patrol and REJIS systems.

EXPERIENCE:  Two of the five years of experience in a lead or technical supervisory capacity. Project management experience

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field such as communications, business or public administration, and four to six years of increasingly responsible experience involving government or business information technology including at least three years on the computer operating systems in use by the City. Possess Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), and Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certificates highly desirable. Must maintain certifications renewals at all times.
