         $10.00 Hourly

GENERAL SUMMARY & DEFINING CHARACTERISTICS:

Conduct a program of aquatic activities and enforce all water safety rules and regulations of a swimming facility.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTION EXAMPLES:

 Enforce swimming facility center safety rules and regulations to ensure the public of a safe swimming experience by monitoring water and deck areas.

 Assist in the preparation of the swim center swimming facility for opening and closing by setting up concession area, deck chairs and lifelines in pool.

 Perform necessary tasks to ensure that locker rooms, pool, pool deck, concession area, pool entrance, trash receptacles, office, storage areas and grounds are clean and sanitary.

 May be required to teach swimming lessons.

 Assist in program registration by evaluating skill levels of participants.

 Attend staff meetings and training sessions to enhance job performance.

 Perform other duties as required or assigned.

 TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

 Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

 Current Lifeguard Red Cross Basic First Aid certificate from the American Red Cross.

 Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for the Professional Rescuer certificate.

 Current Lifeguard Training Certificate.

 Certified Pool Operators or Aquatic facility Operations,
